    Scout Skills: Lashing Tips.

    When you’re lashing together a signal tower, you’ll want the cross pieces supporting the platform to be level. A clear plastic water bottle half full of water makes a good measuring tool. Lay it on it’s side on one of the cross pieces and check to see if the water inside is level. If it is, then the crosspiece under it is level too.
