Great news!  Thanks to the hard work of you and your scouts, Circle Ten Council contributed nearly $300,000 in popcorn donations to active duty soldiers and their families fighting for our country.   Attached are some pictures that you are welcome to share with your Scouts to show how their sales benefited the soldiers.  Also, there is great information on www.supportourtroops.org.  Just click on the Operation Popcorn link and you will find information about the program, quotes from soldiers, additional pictures, etc.

These were received yesterday from the Air Force in Qatar and posted to the Operation Popcorn photo gallery today with the follow quote:

“Here is what the great popcorn operation was like! We unloaded the two 40 ft trailers by hand into reefers for the 379th and onto pallets to send out to the rest of the bases. It took us 2 full hours with about 25 people from AFFOR/A1, 379th EFSS and ELRS.” ~~ Kimberly —-, Capt, USAF

We are working on software to expand the utility of the Operation Popcorn photo gallery for the long term. The posted pics show the troops receiving the popcorn. It would be good to ask Scout councils for any pics they want to send of events, sales, with local soldiers, or accompanying the great stories we have gotten. We can then add that to an area showing the Scouting side. Maybe some buyers would like their picture snapped and sent with a thank you, and we can add those in the area for the people who are giving it.
