Bringing Life into the Year

Southern Sky District Scouters,

Howdy and welcome to another great year for Scouting in the 2nd year of the Southern Sky District. Please use this Program Preview to its fullest potential for the 2009-2010 Scout year.

Abraham Lincoln once said “And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years. ” Let’s see what “life” we can add to each young man’s (and woman’s for Venturers and Explorers) year this coming year as we all strive to make our country better, one young man at a time!

My theme for this year is “Bringing Life into the Year”. My hope is that each young Scout might experience many great things through the year through the various Program opportunities offered here locally in the district, within the Council and nationally. This year is the official centennial year for Scouting within the United States. Let’s celebrate this year by making Scouting the best it can be!
