CUBE – October 24, 2009
Print

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2009 (9am–3pm)

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2009

Location: Meyers Park (McKinney)

So what’s new with CUBE?

This year’s CUBE is once again truly a “family experience” in that elementary school aged siblings (K-5) may also participate in all the programs, with the exceptions of the Archery and BB Ranges and the woodworking station.

What is CUBE?? It is 3-way fun for the Scouts:

• The hosting of stations (Each pack is responsible for staffing and running a station)
• AND participating in the various games, crafts, and activities
• AND earning electives/achievements in the Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos books!

How much? $10/Scout; $5/elementary school aged sibling

Registration? Please send one email by Pack with: scout name, sibling name(s), phone number, and amount paid to Clint Tennill clint_tennill@msn.com by Friday, October 2, 2009

Unique, specially designed patches will be distributed at registration for only pre-registered scouts and siblings. This helps keep our cost down and also helps each pack plan for the activities at stations.

We need volunteers to help plan this event and each Pack is responsible for a booth. Please send me contact information by Monday, August 10th of the Pack coordinator so that a meeting can be scheduled.

If you have any questions, please contact our Event Chairman:
Dale Anderson (972-569-7641)
Clint Tennill (214-850-1745) clint_tennill@msn.com

Look for registration forms at our Roundtables (first Thursday of every month). Registration “cut-off date” is Saturday, October 17th (FIRM).

ONLY PRE-REGISTERED SCOUTS and SIBLINGS WILL GET PATCH.

District Supplies:

There are a large number of supplies in District storage that can be used to help setup, display or execute your station. I have tried to capture some of these things in the list above, if you know of any supplies you need that the district might have or be able to supply to make your station better, please let me know and I’ll try to make appropriate arrangements. For expenses that need to be reimbursed, please give me an estimate and I will approve and pass along to the District guys (Tim and Ed) that will be there with some cash, so bring your receipts.

Do we need to ask the boys to bring anything?

I know that the boys need to bring 2L or .5L bottles for the bottle rocket station. If there is anything you would like for the boys to bring for your station please let me know.

Need additional volunteers?

I have the request out to the Boy Scouts and OA for volunteers, as well as all of the attending Cub Scout packs. If you know of helpers or need helpers please let me know.

We still need volunteers for:              Parking,   Registration, 2-3 more stations

Last minute reminders:

Registration and checks are due to the district office by 10/17.

We WILL be accepting onsite/last minute registrations, please let everyone know.

Thank you all for everything!
