Southern Sky District encompasses portions of Collin and Denton Counties and serves Allen, Celina, Frisco, Lovejoy and Prosper. Depending on boundaries and affiliations portions of Northern Plano, The Colony, Little Elm and far West McKinney are within the district.  Southern Sky District is part of Circle 10 Council.

Circle 10 Council is the main Boy Scouts of America (BSA) chartered council in the Central North Texas area, as well as a portion of Oklahoma. It encompasses all or parts of: Collin, Dallas, Ellis, Fannin, Grayson, Henderson, Hunt, Kaufman, Navarro, Rains, Rockwall and Van Zandt counties in Texas as well as Bryan County in Oklahoma. Founded in 1910 and based in Dallas, approximately 70,000 youth and 10,000 adults participate in Scouting through the council each year. Within Circle Ten is an Order of the Arrow (OA) Lodge (one of the few to have two totems) and 6 camping grounds, three of which operate as summer camps each year.

If you live in McKinney, Anna, Melissa, Blue Ridge or Farmersville please contact Lone Star District.

Cub Scouts

If you’re a boy in the first through fifth grades (ages 7 to 10), go Cub Scouting! Cub Scouting combines fun with educational activities and lifelong values. It also helps parents to help their boys strengthen character, develop good citizenship, and enhance both physical and mental fitness.

Boy Scouts

Boy Scouting is available to boys who are 11 through 17 years old, or who have earned the Arrow of Light Award, or have completed the fifth grade. Boys will learn leadership and self confidence as they tackle challenging activities in the outdoors and in their community.

Varsity Scouts

Varsity Scouting is a program for young men who are at least 14 years of age but not yet 18. It provides options for young men who are looking for rugged high adventure or challenging sporting activities and still want to be a part of a Scouting program that offers the advancement and values of the Boy Scouts of America.

Venturing

Venturing offers a program that is fun and full of challenge and adventure for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eighth grade) through 20 years of age. Learn more about high adventure, sports, arts and hobbies, youth ministries, and Sea Scouting crews.

Sea Scouts

Sea Scouting, a specialized part of the Venturing program, is a co-education program offered to young adults between the ages of 14 and 21. It’s a chance to learn and have fun at the same time. Sea Scouts learn to sail, to row, and to keep a boat in shape.
